Agatsu Level 2 Instructor
Certification
On March 29th and 30th 2010
all qualifying Agatsu Level 1 instructors may participate
in an Agatsu Level 2 Kettleblel Instructor Certification seminar
with Shawn Mozen. Level 2 takes trainers from the Kettlebell
basics to a greater level of kinesthetic awareness and physical
ability. The program continues to develop the four main areas
of Agatsu training: mobility, felxibility, power and endurance.
All areas of training are presented with new material that
will challenge trainers to become more athletic as they round
out their overall conditioning. The course will run both days
from 9:30am to 5:30pm and will cover the following:
Joint Mobility: Building
on the principles and basics laid out in Level 1 this seminar
will expose trainers to more advanced joint mobility training
and applications.
Body weight Conditioning:
If you thought the bootstrapper
and quad hop of Level 1 were challenging you will love the
body weight drills of Level 2!
Kettlebell Basics to
Advanced Training: A complete
review of the basics of Level 1 will be followed by an extensive
look at advanced Kettlebell training. This section will include
hand to hand drills, using Kettlebells with resistance bands,
advanced two hand drills and more.
Physical Challenge: Level
2 trainers are expected to possess not only greater technical
knowledge of training but also to have applied that knowledge
to their own personal programs. A Level 2 trainer should be
in excellent condition. To reflect this conditioning several
benchmark workouts will be presented at the course.
Trainers should be prepared to
do some or all of the following:
15 pullups = 90% (Women 10 pullups for 90% and
15 for 100%)
20 pullups = 100%
10 pistols = 90%
15 pistols = 100%
20 ring pushups = 90%
30 ring pushups = 100%
20 knees-to-elbows = 90%
25 knees-to-elbows = 100%

5 min snatch test with 24kg KB (Women can use 16KG)
100 snatches would be 90%
plus 1% per extra snatch, so 110 = 100%
2 24kg jerks for max reps (Women can use 16KG)
25 = 90%, plus 1% per rep, so 35 = 100%
