Kettlebell Instructor Bill Gillespie: Bio
Bill Gillespie
BPE, MSc - Kinesiology/Sport Biomechanics, NASM-PES
Bill has been a provider of off-ice strength and conditioning
programs since June 2001. Bill's educational background
includes completion of a Bachelor of Physical Education
and a Master of Science degree, both from the University
of Manitoba. Bill completed an after degree certification
with the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance
Enhancement Specialist in September 2002. As co-owner of
Athletic Fitness Inc., Bill provides athletic performance
training to hundreds of clientele ranging from weekend warriors
to professional athletes. Bill has created programs for
practically every sport imaginable, and currently instructs
with the Golf Management Program at Grant MacEwan Community
College. Bill's main passion for health and fitness for
athletes was driven by a keen interest in track and field,
specifically pole vaulting. Starting first as an athlete
in the sport, Bill later took up coaching which earned him
a coaching position on three National track and field teams.
Bill grew up in Newfoundland and currently resides in St.
Albert with his wife, Heather and their dog, Otis.
