AGATSU JOINT MOBILITY & MOVEMENT

 INSTRUCTOR COURSE

MASTERS OF MOVEMENT

Joint Mobility & Body Weight training have been a part of the Agatsu system since its inception. Through years of study of various health and martial arts systems Shawn Mozen created a Joint Mobility program that became the corner stone to all of his training. With the simple idea that we must first learn to master our own bodies before we could learn to overcome the resistance offered by weights the Agatsu Masters of Movement program was developed. Level 1 is an intro program and suitable for beginners and intermediate. You are not required to you have reached a certain level of flexibility or mobility to participate in Level 1.

What you can expect to from the instructor course weekend:

  • Explore the fundamentals of joint mobility and joint prep training and their role in preventing injury.
  • Understand and implement proper muscle activation and sequencing exercises for various movements such as squats, lunges, pull ups, push ups, ring dips and rows...etc.
  • Learn how to incorporate specific body weight exercises to develope connectivity and control that can later be applied in sport or weight training.
  • Develop greater range of motion through the use of tools such as kettlebells, poles and bands.
  • Understand and create a sound pre-workout joint mobility warm up, as well as develop a post training stretching and self massage practice.
  • Receive a instructors manual covering the essential bodyweight and joint mobility exercises that make up the Agatsu Mobility & Movement Certification.

"Before you lean to overcome resistance you must first eliminate it within your own body." Shawn Mozen

The Agatsu Mobility & Movement Instructor Certification is recognized by Can Fit Pro as a continuiting education provider. This course is worth 4 Can Fit Pro CECs.

"I really enjoyed your Joint Mobility Seminar. Now I feel I still have a lot to learn but I will never start any activity before preparing my whole body with some joint mobility prep. I also introduced my daughter to the routine and she does it every time before her O-lift sessions. I can see it helps her to wake up and get to the technique quicker.
I also try to go slowly and introduce every classes at the gym to it so that it is fun and efficient. People are starting to notice a difference when they try to skip the joint mobility intro in the warm -up: they are not as ready to deal with the WOD! My next challenge is to built a solid routine after the CrossFit Wods: most people tend to rush out the gym after a solid workout.... My 40-year-old body thanks you for opening my mind to it, really!"

Many thanks!
