Shawn is the top Kettlebell trainer in Canada and is credited with bringing this unique training tool to Canadians. The Agatsu Kettlebell Instructor Certification and the other programs offered through his company have been recognized by fitness organizations such as NASM, Can Fit Pro, CPTN, and NASM for their high standards. His certification program has been attended by some of the top trainers from the US and Canada and is known as one of the toughest and most complete programs.

Contemporary fitness programs tend to specialize in cardio, core strength, flexibility or bodybuilding. Increased performance in one of these areas may improve your health, however, true healthy living or improved athletic performance comes from balancing out the above attributes. Whether your goals are improved athletic performance or weight loss, your training should reflect the way you live and interact with our world.
We are seldom if ever called upon to use our strength or endurance in the limited fashion in which conventional training programs condition us. Rather than isolating one muscle group at a time, as is the common practice of body building routines, Kettlebell practice along and bodyweight exercises recruits multiple muscle groups and offers people functional strength along with a lean hard body.

I can tell you honestly since my certification with Shawn Mozen, I have never looked back, he is one ofthe most knowledgeable kettlebell, martial arts, instructors I have met. Im certified with RKC and Art of Strength and World Kettlebell club(Valery Fedorenko) and I still refer back to Shawns base training model and ask him questions first if Im not sure of an exercise technical point.
You will get more than your moneys worth I can guarantee you that, lots of hands on training and Shawn will not give you the cert, you have to earn it with hard work, demonstrate safety, and knowledge of KB training. He is very honest, straight shooter who cuts right to the core issue and explains a technical point crystal clear. .

I have taken many fitness related certifications and have participated in various competitive sports. I understand the need for mental and physical stamina. However, in all my years training as an athlete and fitness professional, I have never experienced the level of mental fortitude and physical strength that Shawn instils within his courses.
The will and drive that he ingeniously bestows on each individual is remarkable, memorable and quite literally transforms you into a newborn athlete certainly not the athlete you were when you first stepped over the Agatsu threshold.

Shawn and the Agatsu Kettlebell Certification have played a pivotal role in my development, both in my own training and in that of my clients. Not only was he a mentor and teacher for the duration of my Level 1 and 2 certifications, but he also makes himself available at any time if I have questions, comments or just to chat.
His knowledge of training philosophy for kettlebells, calisthenics and joint mobility are undeniably among the elite in the world, but he also brings an understanding of various other training modalities to the table.
This allows him to differentiate and compare, further solidifying his understanding in the material he teaches. If you've had the enlightening experience of kettlebells, and love them as I do, work the basics into the ground and then look up Shawn Mozen. You would be hard-pressed to find a better kettlebell instructor and a better friend in the same man.

The Agatsu Kettlebell Certification is the toughest certification I have ever taken. Shawn Mozen is a amazing instructor and a wealth of knowledge. He has my up most respect and has become my bible for kettlebell knowledge.
Tina BoccabellaTaking the Agatsu Kettlebell Level 1 Certification with Shawn Mozen was one of the best things I could have done for my fitness and my business. I not only improved my ability to handle a kettlebell myself, but even more importantly, I really improved my ability to train others.
The Agatsu course provided me with a systematic way to analyze and coach people's movements that has been of huge value to me. Shawn provided the whole package -- from the very basics of kettlebell swings to creative programming, and even offered some creative and unique tips on how to market a training business. I would have been satisfied if I had only learned how to execute a few moves with better technique, but I walked away with so much more! I can't recommend Shawn's seminars enough!

My conclusion…you are evil and the kettlebell is an instrument of the devil!! Obviously, cycling is a sport for guys in skirts…I will be on Advil today for sure. Muscle pain in glutes, hamstrings, quads, biceps, triceps, forearms, latissimus, abs, and assorted other mysterious areas. The back is ok, actually “better” relative to the other more pre-occupying pains. I will see how I am tomorrow morning, since in my experience, the 2nd day is worse – plan on swinging’ the KB Wednesday.
Pierre Chenier“I have been convinced for quite some time that Kettlebells are what I need to improve my life. My only real problem was that I didn’t know how to use them. I purchased the books and videos, but still something was missing. I knew that my form was lacking, but I had no way of knowing what was wrong. So I went on a search for a Certified RKC. That is when I found Shawn Mozen in Montreal. At first I was embarrassed and afraid as most beginners are, but with his charisma and great teaching ability, I was put at ease and to work. The lifts that I thought were easy became feats of strength to master. Then there were the lifts that I was afraid of, became safe and possible. The amazing part was that he helped improve my form within a very short period of time. One of the other important features about Shawn is that he helped to inspire me to do better. He is a great coach for any serious athlete looking to improve their life as well as their sport. I will continue to ask Shawn for advice and support for a long time to come.”
