Description
Recommended equipment. If you do not have access to some of these items you can submit video at a later date to fulfill your course requirements.
Squat Rack or Power Cage
Barbell
Weight Plates (Bumper plates are preferred so that deadlifts can be practiced from standard height with light weights unless 135lbs is light enough that the participant can comfortably practice with it)
Bench Press – either a dedicated station or a bench that can be used with the cage/rack. Ideally this would be a solid flat bench without curves or a large break in the pad as this will negatively affect the ability to apply proper technique, but any flat bench will work to an extent.
Plyo Box – One around 18 inches, either hard foam or steel construction (A stack of bumper plates can work as well) and ideally one more that’s shorter and easy to jump on.
41-inch strength bands and chains are HEAVILY recommended to fully benefit from the experience of the course.
Space to run about 15-20 feet or at least a few steps
Running Shoes for Speed/Explosiveness portion of the course, hard flat-soled shoes for barbell movements (though these can be done barefoot as well if the facility allows for it)
Participants should have the capability to film their full bodies while executing barbell movements including squat, bench press and deadlift from multiple angles for cuing and correcting purposes (a tripod or partner is preferable)
